Since getting the proper size is very important at this age we are asking for a donor to pledge $40 so that we can purchase a Scheels gift card. We will then give the gift card to the teacher and they will take him to Scheels to purchase the properly fitted shoes. Thank you to Scheels for fitting him with the right shoes for this price. 09/22/201509/24/2015Student in need - Second grade boy, age 8, with special needs, is in need of size 5 tennis shoes. The student's shoes are completely torn apart exposing his feet. He also is in need of a nylon belt that loops back on itself. Because of the special circumstances of this child, we are asking for a donation of $60 so that we can purchase a gift card for the teacher to either take the student shopping or to purchase the items for the student. 08/28/201509/23/2015Students in Need - 150 students are in need of ear buds (headphones) for their computer class. Each student works at their own pace and listens to the lesson while using ear buds. To avoid health concerns, we are requesting headphones for every student who takes the class. At the end of the year, the teacher will make sure they are properly cleaned and stored to be used again next year. In order to fulfill this request you can either, purchase ear buds and deliver them to our office inside Times Square or you may make a pledge in any amount up to $300 and we will purchase 150 pairs and deliver them to the teacher on your behalf. For health reasons the underwear must be new and in the original packaging. If you can help, you can either donate gently used items, purchase a Walmart or Target gift card for $150 or make a donation in any amount up to $150 and we will purchase the gift card on your behalf. They have had to move into a new apartment and the student no longer is eligible to ride the school bus. However, they live over a mile away from the school and the mother is concerned about her son having to walk such a long distance to and from school. He is a good student and involved in sports activities as well. We are looking for 2 books of 25 individual student passes to help out this family.
