He doesnt want to transfer to a new school with just 6 weeks left. So we are searching for a pledge of $60 so he can ride the city bus to school every day. 04/09/201404/14/2014My Student in Need - I have a female student age 16. This student and her mom are having a lot financial difficulties. The mom (not the student) is soon to have a baby boy and they are in need of an infant baby carrier (the kind you strap to the front of your body. They walk or take the bus as they do not have a car. Although this request is for the mom of the student having this baby carrier will ease some of the financial toll on the student and her mom. IF YOU CAN HELP WE ASK THAT YOU PLEDGE $50 SO MY STUDENT IN NEED CAN GO AND PURCHASE THIS BABY CARRIER AND GIVE IT TO THE STUDENT'S TEACHER WHO WILL THEN MEET WITH MOM. Thank you.
04/08/201404/14/2014MY STUDENT IN NEED - 9th grade female - age 14 is in terrible need of a way to get to school. Her only parent just moved into the 2 mile limit for the school bus, therefore she cannot take the school bus. Her parent does not have the gas to take her to and from school everyday for the remainder of the school year (9 weeks). We are seeking a pledge of $80 se we can buy her bus punch cards so she can take the city bus to school. Or, if someone could donate a used/safe or new bicycle that would be appropriate for her age, then she could ride it everyday. 03/25/201404/14/2014MY STUDENT IN NEED - APRIL 9TH UPDATE SEE BELOW: 5th grade students are in need of participation fees for a 3 mile race. The fee is $20 per student and there is 15 students that would like to participate. These students have been working very hard in an after school fitness program 4 days a week for the last 6 weeks and to end all of their hard work they would like to end it with a bang with this race. The students families are not able to afford the fees at this time. We are asking for a total of $300. APRIL 9TH UPDATE: WE NOW HAVE THREE AMAZING DONORS WHO HAVE PLEDGE A TOTAL OF $230. She is the primary caretaker of the home, as her mom is not mobile due to permanent injury. Her mom does receive food stamps, but these items are not able to be purchased. The student has allergies and needs specific laundry soap. She has asked if we could help by getting her: Toilet Paper, a mop, Pyrex laundry soap, and Dawn dish soap. Thank you again so much.
