12/02/201312/04/2013NORMALLY WE DO NOT POST THIS TYPE OF REQUEST HOWEVER WE HAVE CONFIRMED THE DETAILS WITH THE SCHOOL. My Student in Need - Fourth grade female student with vision disabilities. We are currently working with Montana School for the Deaf and the Blind. The recommendation is that we try and locate a used/working I-pad 2 to help her learn and read materials in the classroom. The I-Pad 2 would only be available for her to use while at Lincoln Elementary. Her teachers will secure the I-Pad 2 in the classroom. The I-Pad 2 will not go home with the student and it will be the property of Lincoln Elementary. It will be used exclusively by the student in need for the remainder of 4th grade, 5th, and 6th grade. The I-Pad 2 will allow the student to access information quicker and at a size that will be easier for her to read. The I-Pad 2 will allow her to be able to not stand out from her typically developing peers. Due to the types of applications and operational materials needed to help the student, it has to be an I-Pad 2.
