11/20/201312/02/2013My Student in Need - Normally we do not post need requests like this but we have confirmed the need. Therefore - I have a Sixth grade student in need of a new/used I-Pod Touch for purpose of communication. Speech is extremely impaired making communication very difficult with peers and teachers. The I-Pod Touch will be the property of the school but she will be able to use the I-Pod Touch at the school. Previous device no longer works and the family cannot afford this. 11/18/201311/29/2013My Student in Need - I have a 5 year old male student who is attending the GFPS Preschool program. He has a sister attending 1st grade at Mountain View. I recently went on a home visit and noticed that all 3 children share a bedroom. The 2 youngest are in toddler beds and the 1st grader has a twin bed. I would love to see the 2 younder students get a bunk bed (mattresses included) so that they have more room to be comfortable when they are sleeping and have more room to play while in the bedroom. They are currently on the free lunch program and mom is doing all she can but just can't afford to get new beds at this time. Thank you.

11/25/201311/26/2013My Student in Need - A homeless sixth grade boy at Morningside needs bodywash for showering and a gift certificate to get a haircut. The gift certificate could be to any barber shop/salon like Cost Cutters, etc. The boy is eager to get a haircut in time for the school break, so this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Single mom is working to support 2 children, and Grandmother drives in from Fairfield to stay with boys during the week while Mom works. He likes Converse brand but would be happy with any black or white pair. Because tennis shoes vary in size and fit, we prefer to ask for help buying him a new pair rather than providing a gently worn pair. IF YOU CAN HELP YOU WILL BE ASKED TO BUY THE TENNIS SHOES OR YOU CAN BUY A $40 SHOE GIFT CARD AT SCHEELS SPORTING GOODS AND DELIVER EITHER THE ACTUAL SHOES OR THE SHOE GIFT CARD TO THE MAIN OFFICE OF THE SCHOOL.
